Turn Professional Learning into a Pay Raise

Advance on the Pay Scale with HQIM Academy Online Courses

Did you know that taking college-credit courses could help you move up the salary schedule in your district?

Many school systems offer lane advancements or salary increases when teachers earn additional college credits beyond their credential or degree. HQIM Academy’s online courses are eligible for credits through our partnership with Teachers College of San Joaquin (TCSJ)—a WASC-accredited institution.

How It Works:

  1. Enroll in an HQIM Academy course
Our courses are designed specifically for educators, curriculum developers, and instructional leaders—and are fully online and self-paced.

  2. Earn college credit through TCSJ
Upon successful completion of a course, you'll receive an official transcript from Teachers College of San Joaquin showing graduate-level credit.

  3. Submit your transcript for salary advancement
You can present your TCSJ transcript to your district or charter organization as part of your salary advancement documentation.

A Few Reminders:

  • Every district has different policies and timelines for credit approval.

  • We strongly recommend checking with your HR specialist or school administrator before enrolling to ensure eligibility.

  • HQIM Academy can provide documentation or syllabi if needed to support your approval process.

Real Learning. Real Credit. Real Career Impact.

If you're already committed to professional growth, why not get recognized and compensated for it?

Invest in Your Growth Without Paying Out of Pocket

Many educators don’t realize they may not need to cover course fees out of pocket.

If you’re a teacher, instructional coach, or administrator, your school or district may allocate funds specifically for professional development. These budgets are often available to support learning that aligns with district goals, especially around curriculum development, high-quality instructional materials (HQIM), and instructional leadership.

At HQIM Academy, our courses are designed with these goals in mind. They’re aligned with the skills educators need to deepen their instructional practice, contribute to curriculum work, or grow into new leadership roles.

We encourage you to:

  • Talk to your school or district leader about using PD funds or tuition reimbursement

  • Share how the course supports your current role or future goals

  • Request any documentation you may need from us—we’re happy to help

Professional growth is a shared investment. In many cases, educators have been able to enroll with full or partial support from their school or district. We’re here to support you in that process.
