About the Course
AI is becoming a consistent part of curriculum development, and understanding how to use it effectively and responsibly is increasingly important for curriculum developers and and leaders. Leveraging AI in Curriculum Development provides practical guidance on integrating AI tools into existing curriculum writing and development workflows. The course emphasizes the role of human expertise—subject matter knowledge, pedagogical understanding, and classroom experience—while showing how AI can support tasks like ensuring standards alignment, maintaining rigor, and improving efficiency. Participants will learn how to use AI to streamline repetitive tasks, while still making space for the professional judgment and nuance that support high-quality, student-centered instructional materials.

What people are saying
This course is helping curriculum developers and educators use AI responsibly and effectively.
I feel excited about the idea of integrating AI into my own curriculum design work. As an elementary teacher, I dabble in curriculum design all the time. I am often either creating resources for my students or editing existing ones. Up to this point, I have not had much opportunity to see what AI can do to help design and adjust curriculum. I have used it mainly for administrative tasks- drafting emails, proofreading work, creating project checklists, and summarizing lengthy communications. As I move through this course, I will continue to look for things to get excited about and to approach with caution in the world of AI-centered curriculum design. I am really enjoying Leveraging AI in Curriculum Development and learning so much!
California
As an educational consultant, I want to be able to speak to my audience on the latest trends in education so taking the courses is one way of staying connected but also learning. With my focus on Arab and Muslim history, AI helps to identifying gaps in curricula and suggest resources that can be curated to create depth in units that have not been created before. AI also connects me to organizations and institutions that reflect aspects of Arab and Muslim history that I may not be privy to.
